1. IMMEDIATE REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
The position reports to:
Director and/or designated Professional Staff

2. JOB PURPOSE:
To provide assistance to identify, develop, implement loans, technical
assistance (TA) projects, and non-lending products and services (NLPS)
in the energy sector. Independently complete assigned tasks, which are
generally non-routine, within clearly defined standards and with regular
supervision.

3. EXPECTED OUTCOMES:
- Strategy and Planning
- Assist and participate towards the development of policy and strategy
in the energy sector.
- Apply own complex specialist knowledge to support others in research
and analysis.
- Project Management
- Assist and participate in the development, processing and administration
of non-complex loan and TA projects in the energy sector.
- Support integration of ADB’s policies and guidelines in the
design and implementation of energy sector projects.
- Knowledge Sharing
- Support and contribute to internal and external training and conferences
on the energy sector and other activities for advocacy, dissemination
and knowledge building.

6. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
A university degree in electrical/electronics engineering or related
fields; preferably at post graduate level or its equivalent
|
7. RELEVANT EXPERIENCE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Suitability to undertake the responsibilities mentioned above at
the required level
- At least 3 years of relevant professional experience
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
- Not more than 32 years old (must be born on or after 1 December 1975)
upon joining ADB
- Able to work with others of different nationalities and cultural
backgrounds
- No close relatives in ADB
- International experience working in areas related to ADB operations

8. IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS:
Established in 1966 and headquartered in Manila, Philippines, ADB's

countries. ADB offers an internationally competitive salary paid
in US dollars. Salaries and benefits are generally free of tax except
for citizens of some countries, primarily the USA and the Philippines,
whose incomes are taxed by their respective governments. While the position
advertised is for the ADB Headquarters in Manila, Philippines, ADB staff
must be prepared to serve in any location outside its Headquarters at
