Young Professional (Economics) |
1. JOB PURPOSE:
To provide assistance in policy and economic research, and contribute to capacity building and knowledge sharing initiatives around economic analysis principles and methods. Independently complete assigned tasks, which are generally non-routine, within clearly defined standards and with regular supervision.

2. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
A university degree, preferably at post graduate level or its equivalent, from a top ranked school, in economics or related fields covering macro, financial sector, accounting, infrastructure, public finance, or environment economics.

3. RELEVANT EXPERIENCE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Suitability to undertake the responsibilities mentioned above at the required level
- At least 3 years of relevant professional experience
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
- Not more than 32 years old (must be born on or after 1 December 1976 ) upon joining ADB
- Able to work with others of different nationalities and cultural backgrounds
- No close relatives in ADB
- International experience working on any one or a combination of the following areas in Economics: macro, financial, transport, infrastructure, public finance, and/or environment as related to ADB operations

4. EXPECTED OUTCOMES
- Policy Analysis and Economic Research Work
- Assist and participate in research and analytical work on Asia’s development challenges, policies and project economic analysis methodologies.
- Apply own complex specialist knowledge on any one or a combination of the following areas in Economics: macro, financial, transport, infrastructure, public finance, and/or environment to support others in research and analysis.
- Knowledge Management
- Assist in organizing statistical data and evaluate their quality and relevance to policy makers.
- Assist in development of knowledge products (i.e. papers, reports, etc.) for capacity building on economic analysis principles and methods, including their dissemination.

Established in 1966 and headquartered in Manila, Philippines, ADB's

in US dollars. Salaries and benefits are generally free of tax except
for citizens of some countries, primarily the USA and the Philippines,
whose incomes are taxed by their respective governments. While the position

must be prepared to serve in any location outside its Headquarters at
