ADB's New Sustainability Report

The second Sustainability Report of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) makes information readily available on our continued work on promoting environmentally sustainable and socially inclusive growth, and minimizing our corporate environmental footprint.

This second report is structured in a format similar to that of the first, to facilitate comparability and adhere to sustainability reporting standards.

The contents are presented in three main sections.

Part 1 provides background on the organization — its mandate; structures; and Strategy 2020, ADB’s new long-term strategic framework.

Part 2 features ADB’s work on three important aspects of sustainable development in Asia and the Pacific:
  • the environment,
  • inclusive social development, and
  • governance.

    Part 3 provides updates on ADB’s work to lighten its corporate environmental footprint.

    The appendix links the indicators of the Global Reporting Initiative with the text of the report and other pertinent sources.
