Since 1991, Mongolia has been undergoing a transition from a Soviet-style planned economy to a market-based economy. The Government has undertaken major reforms in the areas of price liberalization, privatization, agriculture, industry, banking, and creation of market-based institutions. ADB has played a vital role in these areas and key sectors, providing financial and technical assistance to the Government. This evaluation will assess ADB's country assistance for the period of 1997-2007. The findings will provide key inputs for ADB's Country Partnership Strategy for Mongolia.
