All projects impact on men and women. No project is gender-neutral nor is gender and development just confined to social sector projects. Physical infrastructure projects like roads and urban development also need to be gender inclusive, that is, designed to involve and benefit both women and men.

Read how 3 ADB projects are making infrastructure work for women.

ADB supports many gender-inclusive projects across various sectors. These case studies are presented to demonstrate how gender-inclusive design across all sectors is possible, desirable, and a good development practice.

Many of our loans/technical sssistance (TA) provide ideas on how projects can adopt gender-inclusive design features and integrate gender and development concerns.
