Internal and External Stakeholders Consultation

Four (4) internal consultations and five (5) country consultation workshops were completed from October to December 2004. The consultations involved both internal [ PDF: 69Kb | 1 page ] and external [ PDF: 33Kb | 2 pages ] stakeholders.


Objectives

The consultations aimed to:
  • Seek feedback on the preliminary findings of the desk-based assessments and other issues concerning governance and anticorruption
  • Solicit information on the priority actions that ADB should take to strengthen the implementation of the two policies

Agenda


Process

During the consultation, the participants
  • identified significant governance and anticorruption issues/trends that will have an impact in the region/country in the coming years
  • assessed ADB’s performance against commitments made in ADB’s Long-Term Strategic Framework, Poverty Reduction Strategy and Governance Medium-Term Agenda and Action Plan (2000-2004) in the areas of governance and anticorruption
  • recommended priority actions for ADB to address governance and anticorruption issues
