Neeraj Narayan Joshi, NepalMr. Neeraj Narayan Joshi, from Nepal, holds a doctorate in Rural Sociology. He has conducted research in a wide range of development areas, including gender issues, forestry, water management and community participation in development activities. During his career, he has been a lecturer, a research adviser, and a consultant for national and international organizations and NGOs, as well as a trainer and resource person in a number of workshops on development topics. He has participated in studies on farmer and agency managed irrigation management systems, which gave him extensive exposure to a range of irrigation systems. In his work on irrigation systems, he has analyzed the social, socioeconomic, institutional and organizational aspects of such systems and their impact on the farmers' problems. He also has experiences of working with both national as well as international professionals in the field of development activities. Mr. Joshi has co-authored books on agricultural extension and communication, and written a number of articles and papers on development topics. |
