Selection Process

ADB accepts internship applications only through registered academic institutions. The academic institution's internship coordinator registers online.

  1. ADB announces the assignments on website and sends to registered academic institutions' internship coordinators.

  2. Internship coordinators distribute the project topics to interested and qualified students.

  3. Students apply for one assignment through their internship coordinators. Students submit application forms attached with CV to their internship coordinators.

  4. Internship coordinators screen and nominate their top three applicants to ADB for final selection.

  5. ADB evaluates all applications received using the following as selection criteria: academic qualification, relevant experience, and required skills for the specific assignment. ADB also considers institutional representation, gender, and nationality balance in the process.

  6. Only those institutions of the selected student will be contacted. Selected interns will be notified and will receive further details.
