The ADB-JSP marks its 20th Anniversary in 2008
Its graduates and some 70 guests who are current scholars, top management, administrators, and faculty of the Asian Institute of Management (AIM) and the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI)/University of the Philippines at Los Baņos gathered at the ADB Headquarters in Mandaluyong City on Friday, 11 April 2008 to celebrate the event. The theme "Shaping Future Leaders of Asia" was highlighted by the inspiring experiences of three current scholars and two alumni. The gathering supported one of the program's objectives of creating an international community of highly qualified professionals in economic and social development.
The Executive Director for Japan, Mr. Masaki Omura noted that Japan has been assisting the development of human resources in Asia through the ADB-JSP based on the belief that education is the foundation of any nation. Mr. Haruhiko Kuroda, ADB President, graced the occasion.

Mr. Francis G. Estrada, AIM President, gave a brief talk on AIM,
now on its 40th year of commitment towards sustaining the growth of Asian societies
by developing professional, entrepreneurial, and socially responsible leaders and managers
Dr. Noel P. Magor, Head of the Training Center of IRRI,
provided a talk about IRRI and JSP partnership and the current crisis on Rice
Dr. Ma. Cristeta N. Cuaresma, College Secretary of UPLB Graduate School
talked about the current developments of the School at UP Los Baņos
Ms. Rose O. Avila, MBA Business Administration, 2008, AIM
shared her moving experience as a young professional from Guinobatan, Albay
just before being awarded the ADB-JSP to the 1st 16-month MBA Program
and her plans of helping the Bicol Region after completing the program.

He dedicated to the ADB-JSP family his award-as one of the Ten Most Outstanding Muslim Youth
of 2007 (TOMY Awards) and his nomination in the 2009 International Student Peace Price at ISFIT, Norway
cited for student leadership through peace and interfaith dialogue advocacy.
