Oil Expected to Keep Deceleration in CheckGDP growth is projected to fall to 5.0% in 2008 and a modest increase to 6.3% is penciled in for 2009. Any further deceleration in growth is expected to be checked by increased oil income, a healthy fiscal position, and still-strong foreign reserves. In line with Government priorities, ADB's assistance focuses on private sector activity. In 2006, ADB approved two 5-year loans to two commercial banks - 75 million to Bank TuranAlem JSC and $50 million to JSC Alliance Bank - representing ADB's first nonsovereign financing in Kazakhstan.
