The Community of Practice on
MfDR Begins Online Discussion on Integrated Results-Based Management (IRBM)
The Integrated Results-Based Management (IRBM) system was developed in
the late 1990s as a response to the limitations of the Results-Based Management
(RBM) approach in linking its various systems--such as budgeting, personnel
performance, planning, and policy implementation--thus making the system
more dynamic, practical, and comprehensive. The IRBM approach was based
on the performance framework first introduced in the Malaysian public
sector, and has now been adopted by various other countries in Asia and
Africa.
Discussion sub-topics include: Integrated Development Planning and Results-Based
Budgeting, Integrated Personnel Performance System under IRBM, and Integrated
Monitoring and Evaluation & Management Information System. Reference
material on IRBM cases in Asian and African countries are also available.
This discussion is open to the public.
