Marshall Islands, Republic of the
Asian Development Outlook 2009 Update: Republic of the Marshall IslandsForecasts for Kiribati, Republic of the Marshall Islands, and Tuvalu are unchanged from ADO 2009. Kiribati's GDP growth estimate for 2008 has been raised to 3.4% from a preliminary 0.6% in ADO 2009. Growth is pegged at 1.0% in 2009 and 0.9% in 2010, slower than in 2008 owing to the impact of weakened world trade volumes on the employment of Kiribati seafarers and their remittances. Reports
Marshall Islands and ADB
The Republic of the Marshall Islands joined the ADB in 1990 and,
since then, ADB has approved for the country 12 loans amounting to more than $78.13 million,
and 46 technical assistance (TA) grants amounting to $18.76 million.
