ADB Signs Cooperation Statement with Chinese and US Environment Agencies

BEIJING, PEOPLE’S REPUBLIC OF CHINA - The State Environmental Protection Administration (SEPA) of China, the Environmental Protection Agency of United States, and ADB today signed a joint statement to cooperate in protecting the environment in the People’s Republic of China.

The statement was signed with the aim of protecting the environment while promoting sustainable economic growth, achieving effective policy reform, strengthening institutions, and raising human capital to improve human health and environmental quality in the country.

It establishes a framework for the tripartite cooperation and expresses the willingness of the three parties to work together, taking full advantages of their strengths.
