Responsibilities include governance, finance and trade issues in Indonesia and the Philippines. Has also been acting as ADB's representative in the senior officials meetings of BIMP-EAGA subregional economic cooperation initiative. Former Programs Manager for East Asia countries before ADB's reorganization in 2002. Has been involved in ADB's crisis operation in Thailand in 1997, and subsequently in Indonesia since 1998.
