MfDR Cooperation FundThe Managing for Development Results (MfDR) Cooperation Fund was established in March 2004 to support the introduction of MfDR approaches in ADB's developing member countries (DMCs). The Fund--with contributions from Canada, the Netherlands, and Norway--amounts to $2.9 million. It is a multi-donor umbrella facility that allows for further donor contributions.

Examples of country-level initiatives that may be financed under the Fund include:

  • introduction of results-based planning and budgeting techniques
  • preparation of results-oriented national development plans and strategies, sector plans and roadmaps
  • improvement of methods for measuring, monitoring and managing for results
  • training of DMC officials on MfDR

This fourth Progress Report covers 1 January to 31 December 2008. It presents the Fund's portfolio profile and developments in 2008 and summarizes knowledge development and achievements during this period. The Report concludes with a discussion on the next steps for 2009.
