Country Capacity

Country capacity is the first pillar of the ADB Action Plan on MfDR. ADB is helping its developing member countries (DMCs) increase their understanding and use of MfDR.

MfDR requires capacities in strategic planning, public financial management, monitoring and evaluation, and statistical reporting. ADB assists its DMCs in developing their capacities in these areas by:

• Providing technical assistance
• Engaging DMCs in awareness and learning initiatives
• Promoting learning and knowledge sharing in the Asia Pacific region through a Community of Practice in MfDR

In addition, ADB administers a multi-donor MfDR Cooperation Fund to support pilot initiatives that promote the adoption of results-based approaches in public institutions.
