Growth Prospects Remain Modest

GDP growth is expected to remain modest, supported by public expenditures and buoyant energy export prices. ADB-Myanmar Partnership
Myanmar joined ADB in 1973 and is the 17th largest shareholder among regional members. The last loan and technical assistance projects for Myanmar were approved in 1986 and 1987, respectively. ADB continues to monitor economic developments in Myanmar. An operational strategy will be formulated when appropriate.
