North American Representative Office

The North American Representative Office (NARO) was established in 1995 in Washington, DC to enhance the Asian Development Bank's presence in Canada and the United States in support of ADB's goal of reducing poverty. Our activities include:
Public Awareness
- Responding to public queries and providing information on ADB’s work, economic forecasting, policies and procedures.
- Providing speakers for presentations on the work of ADB.
- Organizing press conferences, interviews, and other media events.
Partnership Building
- Acting as a liaison between ADB's headquarters and North America-based policymakers.
- Communicating to ADB the interests and concerns of North American stakeholders.
- Strengthening collaboration between ADB and other multilateral institutions based in North America.
