Nepal Economic Performance

ADB regularly monitors economic developments and trends in Nepal.

It publishes the Quarterly Economic Update (QEU), which provides an analysis of economic developments and trends in Nepal in each quarter, including discussions on macroeconomic developments and sector performance, fiscal development, monetary developments, and the external sector.

Its annual publication the Asian Development Outlook (ADO) provides a detailed analysis and assessment of macroeconomic conditions--including fiscal, monetary, and balance-of-payments developments--for 42 Asian and Pacific economies for 2004 including Nepal, as well as projections for 2005-2007. It also provides a broad diagnosis of macroeconomic challenges and future growth prospects for the region's economies.

ADB's Annual Report also contains a chapter on Nepal, which highlights ADB's operations in Nepal.

ADB also annually publishes Key Indicators, which is a comprehensive statistical portrait of its developing member countries including Nepal.

The Country Economic Report provides an overview of the economy, economic prospects, and trends.
