Nauru
Asian Development Outlook 2009 Update: NauruThe growth estimate for Nauru is downgraded to 1.0% in FY2009 (ended 30 June 2009) and its GDP in FY2010 is forecast to be flat. Downward revisions (from 1.5% growth in both years in ADO 2009) stem from a slowdown in external demand for Nauru's phosphate, particularly from Australia, and the consequent decline in phosphate prices. In line with slowing growth and inflation in Australia (the main source of Nauru's imports), inflation in FY2009 and FY2010 is now put at 1.8%, lower than forecast in ADO 2009. Reports
