About PRF Strategy Meetings
Together with the representatives of the Netherlands, Asian Development
Bank (ADB) and the Department for International Development of the
Government of the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland (DFID), six-monthly
strategy meetings are held in Manila to discuss the work program
for the Poverty Reduction Fund (PRF), the National Poverty Reduction
Strategies Fund (NPRS) and the status of project implementation.
The agenda of these six-monthly strategy meetings, among others,
include:
- indicative allocation of resources and strategic rolling work
program
- program and portfolio management to balance the country, sector,
and the thematic allocations
- implementation issues and donor coordination
- PRF and NPRS activities taken and their poverty reduction impacts.
These meetings likewise endorsed new projects.
The Poverty Reduction and Social Development
Division (RSPR) of the Regional
and Sustainable Development Department (RSDD) coordinates the
preparation for and conduct of these meetings, which usually last
for three (3) days.
For each of these meetings, a ‘Summary Note of the NPRS/PRF
Strategy Meeting’ that highlights the key discussions and
agreements was produced and shared with the donors.
