Asia Poverty Newsletter (AsiaPovNews)

Welcome to AsiaPovNews, the newsletter on poverty reduction and inclusive growth in Asia and the Pacific. The newsletter, a joint effort of ADB's Poverty Network partners, links to knowledge work of think tank institutions and governments in the region, as well as supporting donor organizations.

The fifth issue of AsiaPovNews continues the discussion on the environments of the poor, highlighting triple win opportunities for poverty reduction and inclusive growth, for the environment, and for the global climate through a stronger focus on adaptation and on the green economy.

The former mainly affects the near poor around the $2 poverty line and has much less negative impact on social development in the region. Read more than 60 analytical papers on the impact of the crisis on the poor and vulnerable in Asia at the Hanoi conference website.
