Meyer
Dr. Richard Meyer
is Professor Emeritus and a Senior Research Specialist in AED Economics at Ohio
State University. He is a specialist in micro and rural finance, and the former
director of the Rural Finance Program. He also is the former director of the Office
of International Programs, and a consultant to ADB, AID, FAO, and the World Bank.
Dr. Meyer has led research projects in several developing countries, including
Bangladesh and the Philippines. He is a senior author of the recently published
ADB monograph Rural Financial Markets in Asia: Policies, Paradigms, and Performance.
