Review of ADB's Poverty Reduction Strategy
Updated: 10 February 2005

ADB completed a review of its Poverty Reduction Strategy (PRS) and was approved by the Board in July 2004. The Review of ADB's Poverty Reduction Strategy highlights several measures to enhance the PRS and its implementation:

The review has confirmed that the basic PRS framework consisting of the three pillars (pro-poor sustainable economic growth, inclusive social development, and good governance) will continue to serve as the basis for meeting the goal of poverty reduction.

Capacity development has been added as a new thematic priority, adding to the existing four thematic priorities:
