Loans to Private Sector

ADB provides loans, without government guarantees, to private sector projects and enterprises. In general, these loans are denominated in the major international currencies such as US Dollar, Euro, and Japanese Yen. However, Local currency financing is also available in selected countries.

Loans to private sector companies or projects may be co-financed by commercial banks and other development banks. If necessary to mobilize a larger amount of debt, ADB can extend its B Loan (Complementary Financing Scheme).
