Earthquake and Tsunami Emergency Sector Project (ETESP) - Indonesia
Updated: 20 August 2008
Implementation of ETESP commenced in June 2005, six months after the tragic tsunami of December 2004. In the three years that it has been under implementation, ETESP has made good progress and project impacts are already visible benefiting not only earthquake and tsunami victims but also victims of the decades-long conflict in the case of Aceh. Most of the physical work under ETESP will be completed by end 2008 while ETESP is expected to be fully completed during the second half of 2008.
By the end of June 2008, contracts awards stood at $254 million, equivalent to 87% of the total grant amount, while over $181 million or 61% of the ETESP grant was utilized.
