Earthquake and Tsunami Emergency Sector Project (ETESP) - Indonesia
Updated: 18 April 2008

Implementation of ETESP commenced in June 2005, six months after the tragic tsunami of December 2004. In the two and a half year that it has been under implementation, ETESP has made good progress and project impacts are already visible benefiting not only earthquake and tsunami victims but also victims of the decades-long conflict in the case of Aceh. Most of the 12 ETESP components are expected to be completed during the second half of 2008.

By the end of December 2007, contracts awards stood at $210 million, equivalent to 71% of the total grant amount, while over $140 million or 48% of the total grant was utilized.
