About LEAP
The Asian Development Bank (ADB) is providing a regional technical assistance (RETA) called Leadership Enhancement and Advancement Program (LEAP), which aims to strengthen the professional competencies of senior and middle level executives in public and private sectors in 13 of the 14 PDMCs. In line with ADB's Pacific Strategy 2005-2009, LEAP seeks to contribute in the overall effort to address major governance issues in the Pacific through a package of support to leadership development and partnership building. Cognizant of the need to develop cadres of competent and responsible leaders to steer the tasks of nation building, LEAP will strengthen the foundations for the delivery of continuous, competency-based, responsive, and demand-driven training courses for selected leaders. It will develop an in-service training program [ PDF ] jointly with partner-institutions to address the specific requirements of government, private sector, and civil society. Over the next two years, LEAP will generate the following outputs:
