Event: Inauguration of the new Smokey Mountain Material Recovery Facility

For over two years, Sustainable Project Management (SPM) has been working on a project for the transformation of the Smokey Mountain community with the support of ADB. The project, which focuses on poverty reduction and environmental remediation, has helped to expand livelihood opportunities for the residents of Smokey Mountain as well as improve the overall health and environmental condition of the community and their workplace.

On 11 May 2007, they will be celebrating the opening of a new Material Recovery Facility, built with ecologically sound principles and with the support of green companies as well as the entire community.
