Updated: 13 December 2007

Road Safety in Asia

ADB gives high priority to road safety and sustainable transport in its efforts to promote poverty reduction and socioeconomic development in developing member countries (DMCs). ADB’s operational strategy for the road transport sector is designed to remove infrastructure constraints and support policy and institutional reforms.

This site provides a one-stop specialized source of information for project officers, transport planners, road and traffic engineers, road safety professionals, traffic police, policy-makers, consultants, and executing agencies.

The site includes publications, strategy issues, training materials, news and articles, link with the road safety and traffic enforcement network (SafNet), and key results of two ADB technical assistance (TA):

The materials on this site can be applied in other DMCs. We encourage you to share the information with your colleagues and give us feedback on how we can improve this website.

The site has been developed by Kim Jraiw, Senior Transport Specialist, Transport Division, East Asia Department.
