Activities

Road Safety and Traffic Enforcement Network (SafNet)

In 2006, A road safety and traffic enforcement network (SafNet) has been established to provide advice and information regarding the best-practice world wide to the executive agency and strengthen TA output.

SafNet also aimed to enhance link and communications with regional experts, promote knowledge, and optimize the use of resources.

China Road Traffic Management Cadre Training Center

Following discussion with the EA, the MPS has established its 1st center. The building will be completed in 2007. A toping-out ceremony was held in April 2007.

Reference Library

The TA Mission Leader and consultants have voluntarily decided to establish a specialized road safety and traffic enforcement reference section, within the new Guangxi Traffic Police library, and ADB provided fund to help in purchasing some reference materials. Similar library will be established at TMRI in Wuxi.

Interagency Advisory Team

An advisory interagency team will be established to review the TA output, and provide advice. The team will comprise experts from the relevant agencies.

TA Liaison Group

To ensure that the TA is implemented in an efficient manner, a liaison group has been established. The Group will meet quarterly.
