Workshop to Design the Anti-Corruption Training Course, 18 – 20 December 2006
The Project Team met with top officials of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Agency (MACA) in October 2006 to discuss and agree on the implementation arrangements and schedule for the ADB-supported anti-corruption training program for developing member countries in the region. The Project seeks to establish and enhance the capacity of the Anti-Corruption Academy (ACA) of MACA to provide training on corruption prevention to DMCs and become a center of learning and research for enhancing government transparency and public accountability in the Asia Pacific Region. Mr. Tony Kwok, internationally renowned anti-corruption expert based in Honk Kong, was one of experts invited by ACA-MACA who participated in a workshop to design and develop the training program from 18 to 21 December 2006 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Participants share perspectives on what makes an effective training course on anti-corruption for participants in the region. Among the participants is world-renowned anti-corruption expert Tony Kwok from Hong Kong who has been engaged by ACA-MACA as one of the resource persons and MACA officials who have been designated to design and manage the training course being envisaged. |
