National Fortification Alliance

Kazakhstan

The League of Kazakhstan Grain Processors and Bakers was founded in May 2000. From May 2000 to April 2001 it operated as the Association "Flour Producers Of Kazakhstan". The League was set up for the unification and coordination of activities of grain processing companies of the Republic of Kazakhstan. President - E. A. Hahn, PhD, E-mail: mukomol@dan.kz

For effective implementation of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On prevention of iodine deficiency disorders" of 14.10.2003 ?489-II of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan there has been established Association of Salt Producers of the Republic of Kazakhstan. For more coordination of fruitful efforts for production of quality iodine white salt for the population want of the whole Republic. In autumn 2005 the official presentation of new Association of salt producers took place.

Kyrgyz Republic

Kyrgyz Association of Salt Producers was founded in 14 March 2003. The cause of Association of Salt Producers creation was issues of private producers, concerned with interaction between enterprises, between Governments and International organizations.

Mongolia

Grain Processing Association of Mongolia was founded at the Agriculture and Flour Milling Association in 1990. In February 2005 due to the demands of highly qualified domestic flour, to develop technology of milling and to assist flour millers to improve their professional ability, Grain Processing Association expanded as independent Association.

Uzbekistan

Association of Salt Producers of Uzbekistan was created in the period of the Project realization.

Tajikistan

Association of Salt Producers and Grain Processing of Tajikistan was created in the period of the Project realization.
