Poverty in Asia: The Challenge Ahead
Asia is home to two thirds of the world's poor - nearly a billion people surviving on less than a dollar a day. For ADB, fighting poverty is the region's biggest development challenge. In a major policy shift announced in November 1999, ADB is concentrating all its resources on lifting the region out of poverty. This short video looks at the plight of Asia's poor and introduces ADB's Poverty Reduction Strategy. |
