1. Review of preliminary country experience with REGA technologies: the draft country report was submitted in December 2004. The report, endorsed by the National Counterpart Agency on 10 May 2005 is available at draft final Country Report - Mongolia. [ PDF: 2,789Kb | 85 pages ]



2. REGA project development to pre-feasibility/feasibility stage:

   Phase 1: The following pre-feasibility study reports have been prepared, and finalized:

   • Liquefied Petroleum Gas Boiler, and
   • Wind Energy Supply for Off-Grid Small Towns (Wind-Diesel)

   Phase 2: The reports of the following project pre-feasibility studies are were prepared/revised:

   • Wind power farm in Southern Mongolia as part of the Integrated Resource Plan [ PDF ]
   • Geothermal Energy for heating and other productive uses in small towns[ PDF ]


3. Policies and strategies for developing and promoting REGA technologies: draft report has been prepared and being reviewed by ADB.



4. Technical studies: The following tentative studies were undertaken in Phase 2:
   • Rehabilitation of existing heating only boilers [ PDF ]
   • Energy efficiency study of Ulaanbaatar Thermal Power Station 4 [ PDF ]
   • GEF Scoping Study (Soum hybrid renewable-diesel electricity supply)
