The Consultation Phase of ADB's Accountability Mechanism
Office of the Special Project Facilitator
Updated: 23 November 2009

In pursuit of development effectiveness and project quality, the Consultation Phase of the new ADB Accountability Mechanism aims to actively respond to the concerns of people affected by ADB-assisted projects through fair, transparent, and consensus-based approaches.

Project-affected people can lodge their complaints in this Phase and guided by the Consultation Process can hopefully find satisfactory solutions to problems and issues caused by projects assisted by ADB.

The Special Projects Facilitator (SPF) is responsible for this Phase and reports directly to the ADB President.
