ICP ToolPack ver. 1.2
Processing data for the International Comparison Program involves a significant amount of calculations and is very challenging. To assist the national statistical agencies in managing their voluminous data for the ICP, World Bank developed an integrated software package called ICP Tool Pack. The Tool Pack facilitates data validation and analysis.
The present Tool Pack version is 1.2 and consists of the Price Administration Module (PAM), the Price Collection Module (PCM), and the Data Processing Module (DPM). The PAM is where products, locations, surveys and survey operations personnel are defined and relationships mapped. It could be installed in only one computer but accessible to others through LAN. PCM, on the other hand, is where the collected price information is encoded, and therefore, could be installed in many stand-alone computers down to the field offices. The DPM provides for the transfer of data from the countries to the Regional Office and for inter-country validation and analysis.
