• Advisory Group on Institutional and HR Management for ADB
  ADB President Haruhiko Kuroda has appointed an Advisory Group on Institutional and Human Resource Management for ADB to advise Management on building institutional effectiveness and aligning staff skills requirements to support Strategy 2020. Read the news release.

November 2008

• 2007 Development Effectiveness Review finalized
  The inaugural Development Effectiveness Review, discussed by ADB's Board of Directors on 13 November, is a milestone to monitor and improve ADB's development effectiveness. It tracks ADB's progress in meeting the Strategy 2020 goals, demonstrates contributions ADB is making toward poverty reduction, and indicates actions Management will take to increase ADB's development impact.



• ADB President Haruhiko Kuroda has approved the operational plan for health for improving health access and outcomes under Strategy 2020. The plan, prepared by Regional and Sustainable Development Department and the Health Community of Practice, emphasizes ADB's comparative advantages and the importance of partnerships with specialized health agencies and development partners in improving health outcomes.
