Tajikistan

The ADB began operations in Tajikistan in 1998 and has enjoyed a stable partnership during the past 11 years. ADB's main task was to channel financial and technical resources to help the country improve the overall economic situation, reduce poverty, and rehabilitate infrastructure. As of 31 December 2009, Tajikistan received $372.54 million in loans, $33.89 million in technical assistance (TA), and $160.77 million in grants.


ADB and Tajikistan Launch a New Country Partnership Strategy

Tajikistan and ADB have agreed on a new Country Partnership Strategy (CPS) for 2010-2014. The CPS will help Tajikistan to strengthen its energy supplies and transport links and to develop a vibrant private sector. Read the news release.
