Kicking the CO2 Habit
ADB and the GMS Environment Operations Center launched a documentary "Forest for the future" at Foreign Correspondents' Club of Thailand in Bangkok on June 5 to celebrate the World Environment Day 2008. The documentary shows rich forests of the Mekong Region, and the importance of reducing the damage being inflicted on the ecosystem. Reports
Thailand and ADB
Thailand was one of the founding members of the ADB in 1966 and is the 17th largest shareholder. Cumulative lending since joining amounted to almost $5.4 billion for 84 loans as of 31 December 2007.
