Project Output Impact
Infrastructure Sectors Capacity Development The main objective is to help the Government improve the overall operating environment for public and private infrastructure businesses, including transportation, water supply and sanitation, power, communications, and other urban services. The TA will help develop an integrated infrastructure institutional framework for Timor-Leste and an action plan or "roadmap" to achieve the framework "vision". The vision and road map with guide the preparation of relevant SIPs and the deliberations of Sector Working Groups (SWGs).  
Integrated Water Resources Management The main objective of the project was to help the Government prepare a National Water Policy, a Water Resources Management Plan, a Water Reserves Management Plan and to strengthen Government capability to manage and implement water policy.  
Water Supply & Sanitation
Urban Water Supply and Sanitation Project Preparation It aims to help the Government prepare (i) a water supply and sanitation (watsan) project jointly funded by ADB ($5.4 million) and the Government ($1.1 million), and (ii) a parallel TA project to strengthen the National Directorate of Water and Sanitation (DNAS). The scope of the project includes
  • technical and institutional analysis,
  • feasibility study
  • project preparation.
The project focus will be on secondary distribution, tertiary distribution, and household connections and metering in the capital city, Dili.
