ADB's Transport Community of Practice (CoP)

The Transport Community of Practice (CoP) facilitates the exchange of knowledge among ADB transport specialists and other staff with an interest in the transport sector. It aims to:

  1. provide advice on strategic directions for ADB's transport sector operations
  2. disseminate best practices, technical studies, toolkits and innovative initiatives for the sector
  3. provide advice on staffing issues, such as competencies, skills mix and distribution
  4. provide professional peer support

The Transport Committee leads and helps manage the CoP. The Committee's primary role is to:

  1. act as a think tank and provide advice on strategic directions and issues in the transport sector
  2. lead the preparation of special studies and publications
  3. oversee preparation of sector and annual report by lead specialists
  4. determine priorities for ADB participation in external events
  5. manage the regular program of activities of the CoP

The Transport Committee is supported by a Secretariat based in ADB's Sustainable Infrastructure Division.

The Transport CoP encourages ADB transport staff to take part in knowledge-related external events to share information and experiences with other transport practitioners.

ADB staff may download the application form [ Doc: 45Kb | 2 pages ] to participate in external conferences and workshops.
