More About APWF

ADB supports the APWF’s major regional events, including the first Asia-Pacific Water Summit and the commissioning of the Asian Water Development Outlook.

Asian Water Development Outlook (AWDO)
This report brings together a wide range of water-related issues, problems, and challenges in Asia-Pacific’s future development scenarios presented from multidisciplinary, and multisectoral perspectives. Prepared by eminent water experts, it targets policy makers involved in making decisions to boost water investments in the region.
Asia-Pacific Water Summit (APWS)
ADB helped the APWF organize the 1st Asia-Pacific Water Summit in Japan last December 2007. The event gathered the region’s political leaders to address the water issues that affect progress in achieving the MDGs. It focused on measures to ensure effective delivery of safe water supply to critical areas in the region.
