ADB WaterNet
Knowledge Management System for Water
Description
ADB is developing a water information system designed for use by
ADB and developing member country (DMC) staff to support ADB's water
operations. The system, referred to as the Knowledge Management
Applications (KMApps) for water or the ADB WaterNet, is currently
being pilot tested.
WaterNet will enable users to
- store, search, and retrieve information
- evolve information into knowledge
- input and inter-link their information with other information
Modules
WaterNet will have the following features:
- Profiles - will include data on individuals and organizations
- Operations - will include data on ADB water projects
- Lessons Learned - will include data on lessons learned from past and ongoing ADB water projects
- Indicators - will include statistical data, graphs, worksheets and tables on water indicators
- Correspondence - will serve as central electronic mailbox for correspondence with outside contacts
- Archive - will serve as storage of electronic files
- Calendar - will include information on meetings, seminars, conferences and other events
- Forum - will serve as online discussion board
