In 2005, ADB conducted a comprehensive review of the implementation of its Water for All policy. The review was designed to gauge ADB's progress and set a course for the future. The ADB commissioned a Review Panel to oversee this review process. The panel completed its work in May 2006 and was subsequently dissolved. The panel's report was circulated among key stakeholders, and presented during ADB's 2006 Annual Meeting in Hyderabad, India. Read the panel's key recommendations to ADB, and ADB's initial response. |

In selecting the panel members, ADB considered a desirable range of expertise and experience across regional perspectives, gender, and key areas targeted in ADB's water policy: national policy reform, water resources management, water service delivery, conservation, regional cooperation and communication, and governance.
The panel members attended in all Review Panel meetings, participated in some of the in-country or regional consultation meetings, and contributed to the preparation of the final report for circulation to ADB Management.
The Panel conducted four work sessions. These sessions were informed by consultations, workshops with ADB staff, and feedback obtained through other events and surveys.
The Panel finalized and submitted its report to ADB Management in April 2006. The panel was subsequently dissolved.
