COMPONENTS

Organizational Strengthening
In 2004-2005, ADB’s support contributed to the training of Secretariat staff on specific SEAWUN services, and conduct of Executive and Board meetings to decide on policy and program concerns

Promotion and Awareness
This component focuses on promotional and awareness activities in member countries designed to recruit members, and build broad-based support for SEAWUN.

Visit the SEAWUN website to find out more about their networking activities.

Knowledge Management and Capacity Building
This component focuses on developing a water utilities database and conducting regional, topic driven, “by utilities for utilities" events.

SEAWUN’s inaugural Convention on Water and Wastewater was held on 7-9 June 2005 in Viet Nam. The 2nd convention is scheduled on 14-16 May 2007 in Malaysia.

Performance Benchmarking and Improvement
This focused on strengthening utility performance by engaging them in a regional performance benchmarking program focusing on Southeast Asia.

The results of the first benchmarking program were published as the SEAWUN Databook on Water Utilities.
