The South East Asian Water Utilities Network (SEAWUN) is a regional association of water supply and sanitation utilities and national water associations created to help its members improve their services. Since its inception in 2002, SEAWUN has initiated focus programs on performance benchmarking, full cost recovery, nonrevenue water reduction, and training and human resources development. |

Benchmarking Program Phase 2 of the benchmarking program includes doubling the number of participating companies to 80-100, updating the water utilities data book, formulating an incentive and awards mechanism for water utilities, and a “Health Check” program. |

Nonrevenue water (NRW) reduction program Training workshops on NRW reduction in member countries will be held, while the impacts of the design of service connections on water losses will be further studied. Increased support from the European Union will be sought. |

Development of SEAWUN’s Vision and Mission Based on the results of a needs assessment survey, the opportunities, challenges, and constraints facing SEAWUN and its members were identified to strengthen SEAWUN’s Vision and Mission. Results were presented at the 2nd SEAWUN Convention. |

Knowledge Management and Capacity Building SEAWUN regularly conducts workshops and conferences to improve knowledge management and build capacity of its members . |
