Description

The session allowed participants to formulate appropriate means of reducing the vulnerability of the poor to the negative impacts of flood. Highlighted were the practices and insights of different Asian countries in undertaking flood management. The discussion focused on, among others, the impacts of floods on people living in flood-prone areas, the effectiveness of current flood protection and mitigation measures, and best practices for managing floods.
