International Commission on Large Dams

The International Commission on Large Dams (ICOLD) is a non-governmental international organization that provides a forum for the exchange of knowledge and experience in dam engineering. It has a membership of 83 countries and provides technical guidance on the planning, design and implementation of dam projects and holds regular workshops and international conferences.

ICOLD has a number of Committees including on aspects of design, operation, environment and governance - see the Committees' terms of reference and a comprehensive list of technical publications.
