ADB’s Water Awareness Program, implemented in 2002-2005, helped create an environment supportive of effective water policies in the Asia-Pacific region.

12 national and 2 regional Media Workshops held from 2003 to 2006 promoted water issues among journalists and formed an informal water media network

Asia Water Wire, an online resource of water stories, features articles from ADB's media network that help fill the water information gap. Visit the website.

Selected high-caliber journalists participated in significant water forums, with ADB support.
These awareness tools were initially designed and disseminated under the Water Awareness Program and are being expanded as part of ADB’s continuing efforts to promote public awareness on water issues.
